Throughout her childhood she practiced classical ballet and sang.for she dreamed of being a ballerina or a doctor, but life led her to Law (2000), practicing it for more than a decade, where she developed the art of rhetoric/oratory, and to business management and consulting (2012).

Having attended the first Peter Hess® Sound Massage workshop in Portugal (2004), where she acquired her first sound bowl, she later became a certified practitioner (2016) in that professional method, specializing in neurology and psychosomatics, having taken several other training courses aimed at strengthening health, highlighting Manus para Sanar (2015-20, AIS, integrative medicine).

Sofia has already shared the therapeutic benefits of vibrational sound with hundreds of people, in individual and group sessions, in clinics, solidarity associations (Instituto Imaculada para PNE/SOUMA) and ecological festivals (GREENFEST);

In choral and solo singing lessons (2015), she deepened her musical learning by recording covers and participating in events, with the musician Ricardo Quintas (Shout!, qMusic Portugal), nowadays her producer, with whom she composes original songs; she participated in the RTP1 program Superestrelas, as Bonnie Tyler (2024);

She gave voice to the works of plastic artists Paulo Arraiano and Inês Norton, during the pandemic period (2020);

She founded JOYSOUND - Som da Vida, to co-create a better world, anchoring Joy on the planet and adopting the artistic name Sofí🍀Joy, as a tribute to that  favorite frequency of hers, the manifestation tool per excellence.
